Counselling and Psychotherapy can provide help and support to people experiencing difficulties and concerns in their lives. It can also help those who are unhappy with their lives and who want to move forward and find fulfilment. It is a chance to speak to an independent person, removed from family and friends.
Coming to therapy is a chance to have time in a safe space with an impartial, confidential and non-judgemental therapist. It can enable you to increase your understanding of yourself, others and situations.
Therapists do not give advice or tell a client what to do. They help and guide individuals with their own decisions and understanding; within a space where they can talk about and explore their feelings.
I have an Integrative approach to therapy using a number of different approaches including person-centred therapy, psychoanalysis and existentialism. I use knowledge from different approaches as every client is different and therefore a single approach may not suit all clients.
